Rob Rongve - Vice President and Investment Advisor
Rob and his team at RBC Dominion Securities, place a high value on client service. Rob graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1985. Rob's continuing education includes the following designations: Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, Certified Financial Planner, Canadian Securites Course and CPH, Options and Derivatives Course,
Certified Investment Manager as well as being qualified to
advise clients on insurance products.
Rob is very involved in his community, having sat on a number of local boards including the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce, the Battlefords and District Community Foundation (currently as Chair) and Rob is currently co-chairing, with Heath, the Battlefords CUPlex fundraising committee which has a goal to raise $10 million. Rob and his wife, Nora, have two daughters, Antje and Rachel. Rob enjoys hunting, golfing, scuba diving, gardening, wine making and spending time at the lake.
Heath Gabruch - Associate Advisor
Heath Gabruch was born and raised on the family farm just North of North Battleford where he still actively farms.
Heath is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan’s Agriculture program with a major in Crop Science. Heath has completed his Canadian Securities course, and his Conduct and Practices Handbook course, as well as Wealth Management Essentials, which are a great fit with his interest in the investment and agricultural commodity markets.
Heath has always been a huge advocate for the Battlefords and is excited by the increased interest and investment in the community. Heath is very involved in the community and is a director with the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce, is a founding director of the Battlefords and District Community Foundation and currently co-chairs, with Rob, the fundraising committee for the CUPlex.
In his spare time Heath enjoys golfing, flying, down-hill skiing, as well as spending time with his ‘girls’, wife, Colleen and daughter, Samantha.
Rena Weikle - Associate
Rena has been assisting Rob’s team since January 2001. Rena's background is in the travel and hospitality industry so the switch to the financial industry has been an interesting change. Rena completed her Canadian Securities course and CPH in 2001 and was registered in February 2002. Rena's history of working with the public is a great fit with the teams focus on client service.
Rena lives in Cut Knife and is currently in her second term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Western Development Museum. Rena has achieved the highest level of achievement in Toastmasters having attained her DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) and is very involved with the local club, as well as taking on the challenge of Division Governor for Division E, which includes 32 clubs in the northern half of Saskatchewan. In Rena's spare time she enjoys golfing with her daughter, reading, working in stained glass, painting watercolors, and sharing a good glass of wine with friends.
David Schell - Associate Advisor
David Schell joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2010, and has now completed his Canadian Securities Course and his CPH making him a licensed member of our team. Dave was born just southwest of the Battlefords in Wilkie, and was raised on an acreage near Scott, Saskatchewan.
David graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree and Commerce minor (Sports and Leisure Management). David is currently a member of the Credit Union CU Plex Fundraising Committee as well as the Battlefords and District Community Foundation. He is looking forward to becoming more involved in Community projects including helping with youth sports programs such as hockey and baseball.
David and Melissa were married November 12, 2010 and currently reside in North Battleford where Melissa is a dietician with Prairie North Regional Health Authority. The couple are excited to be part of such a vibrant community where so many possibilities are available.
In David's spare time you can usually find him involved in some type of sport! He loves hockey, playing with the Wilkie Outlaws, baseball, as a member of the Saskatoon Diggers, as well as enjoying golf, tennis, and football.
