Supported Charities

At the William Vastis Wealth Management Group, we believe that giving back to the community we live in is essential and necessary whenever possible.  As a result, the group has joined up with some charities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to assist them both financially and in promoting their causes.

Ron Ellis now has his own foundation called the Ron Ellis Team Canada Foundation. The main goal of this foundation is to raise funds for a specific Canadian cancer research project which is producing some very exciting results. The former Leaf veteran is well known for supporting children's charities and other life threatening diseases.

Since 1875, The Hospital for Sick Children has contributed to countless advances in children's health and the lives of millions of children have been profoundly changed for the better as a result. Outstanding patient care, research and education have helped Sick Kids to emerge as one of the best centres for children's health care in the world.

Since the earliest days of The Hospital for Sick Children, people from all walks of life have contributed to making Sick Kids better. Through their generosity, these supporters have been our main source of funding for what government does not provide for research, new equipment, and renovations. These funds help ensure that the hospital continues to be one of the world's leading pediatric centres.

An endowment establishes a named fund to support a specific purpose, such as a scholarship, lecture series, educational equipment or library acquisitions. To establish an endowment, a gift of capital is entirely invested in the donor’s name within the University's endowment fund. The named endowment becomes a permanent memorial and each year a part of the accrued growth, after allowance for inflation protection, is awarded. The University of Guelph’s endowment policy ensures that the donor’s gift is secure and that the donor’s intentions and plans are maintained.

Creating an endowment fund allows your gift to become a permanent resource for the University. Thanks to you, your gift continues to benefit the University forever.
