challenges a complimentary Will and estate-planning consultation
with Gregg Knudsen, our Will & Estate Consultant.
Gregg’s
background includes a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie Law School
and a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University. Admitted
to the Bar of Nova Scotia in 1990, Gregg developed his expertise
as a Will & Estate Consultant while in private practice and
working for 10 years in Wealth Management divisions of two other
financial institutions. He has also completed the Canadian Securities
Course.
Gregg
is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the
Canadian Bar Association, the Executive of the Halifax Estate Planning
Council, the Dalhousie University Planned Giving Advisory Board.
In the past, he has served on law reform committees dealing with
wills and estates in Nova Scotia as a Director of Certified General
Accountants – Nova Scotia and as Chair of the Canadian Bar
Association, Nova Scotia Branch, Wills and Trusts Section.
Gregg
works closely with our Investment Advisor’s to provide our
clients with information on structuring their estate’s in
an efficient and tax-effective manner. Clients who commonly require
Greg’s services are those who have business succession needs,
trusts for minor children and adults with disabilities, charitable
planned giving and other effective and tax efficient plans.
Following
their meeting, Gregg will provide them with a report outlining various
estate planning issues for them to explore in further detail with
their own lawyer or accountant.
