Since joining RBC Dominion Securities Ltd. in 1998, Ian has built his business on the concept of providing clients with a very conservative approach to wealth management. Ian joined RBC as an investment advisor after a four-year term with TD Asset Management and two years with Canada Trust. After completing high school in the Ottawa Valley, Ian spent the next six years completing a Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University in Montreal and a graduate finance degree at the University of Windsor. Ian has been extremely active in sports, having played junior and varsity hockey, as well as college football for both the University of McGill Redmen and the Windsor Lancers. Ian has also been active for the last decade as a volunteer minor hockey coach in the Greater Toronto Area.
Ian writes a regular newsletter available on this website entitled Your RBC Monthly Morning Coffee, which allows clients to get both a colourful and personalized view of the markets, as well as other features like equity research, tax tips, banking updates, and a varied recap on current events in the world.
He conducts his business with honesty and integrity, and believes that accessibility & communication are both of paramount importance.
If you would like to have a discussion in person, Ian will be happy to supply the coffee so please call him directly @ 416-699-4380 or email him at ian.fitzgerald@rbc.com
