Dennis was born and educated in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. He began his career in the financial industry in 1963 at the Bank of Montreal. He joined the firm in 1969 with one of our predecessor companies, and five years later moved to Charlottetown, PEI as Branch Manager. In 1994, he relinquished his managerial duties but continues to provide investment advice to a large clientele and is now a member of RBC Dominion Securities' Executive Council.
A past chairman of the Atlantic District Council of the Investment Dealers Association, Dennis was a distinction award finalist for the Atlantic Region in 1993.
Active in the community, Dennis volunteers with various charitable organizations and is a member of the Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce, Belvedere Golf Club, K-40 Club and the Opimian Society.
Dennis is married to Nell, a registered nurse, and they have four sons, Jeff, Chris, Darren and David. Away from the office his interests include antique cars, gourmet cooking, wine, golf, travel and managing his woodlot.
