Vice President & Portfolio Manager
David started his career with RBC Dominion Securities Inc. in April 1991. He applies his deep knowledge of financial markets when dealing with complex investment situations, which is greatly enhanced by his 20 plus years of experience and his designations as a Certified Investment Manager (CIM) and as Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
David provides portfolio management services to high net worth clients, corporations and non-profit organizations.
Since 1997, David has been a member of the RBC Dominion Securities Executive Council, a special group formed to recognize the firm's leading Portfolio Managers and Investment Advisors. David has also been a frequent guest speaker for the New Advisor training program throughout RBC Dominion.
In 1999, David was appointed Vice President, one of the highest honors bestowed upon Portfolio Managers and Investment Advisors at RBC Dominion Securities.
From 1999 to 2005 David was a member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, and served for one year on its Board of Directors. In addition, David has created a portfolio management software application called FolioSoftTM which he and his team use to manage all aspects of what he calls The Comfort Zone Investment ProgramTM.
When not at work, David enjoys family time with his wife Lisa Vogel, and their 3 young children Ella, Nathan and Gracie. Aside from work and family, David’s interests include classical music, oil painting, and playing Chess online with players from around the world.
David lives in the North Toronto/Sherwood Park neighbourhood.
Melissa joined David’s team in July 2006 after working as an Investment Broker Executive Assistant at another securities firm.
Melissa graduated from University of Western Ontario in 2005 with an honors degree in Social Science.
In 2007, Melissa became licensed as an Investment Representative after successfully completing the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook exam. Currently, Melissa is attending Ryerson University part-time for a Certificate in Marketing Management.
Melissa is experienced in all categories of client service. Her commitment to excellence is critical to our business and ensures every client and professional contact feels they are “well taken care of”.
Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys playing squash, snowboarding, traveling, volunteering with Special Olympics Canada, Daily Bread Food Bank and spending time at her family cottage in Lakefield.

Elvis’ career in the financial services industry began in 1994. His experience includes working at two large financial services providers as a Financial Consultant and Advisor, focusing on client’s financial planning and wealth building objectives. He has used the preparation of a comprehensive financial plan for each and every client as the cornerstone of his relationship with clients. A financial plan can provide a clear picture of where you are now and create a strategy for what you need to do to have peace of mind for the future.
In 2007 Elvis joined RBC Dominion Securities and has been providing sophisticated financial planning advice to clients of RBC as a valued member of RBC Wealth Management Services.
Elvis has acquired extensive knowledge in financial planning, tax planning and wealth management. He has attained numerous industry designations, including the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), which is reserved for an elite group of financial professionals who have met exacting standards for industry experience, advanced education and solid endorsements from their peers and superiors.

Connie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1989 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1994.
Prior to joining RBC, Connie practised law for 18 years. As a partner in a mid-sized full-service law firm, her practise was varied and covered the areas of corporate/commercial law, real estate, and wills, trusts and estates law. In that role, Connie advised her owner-manager clients on a broad range of business and personal needs, from purchases and sales of businesses, to shareholder agreements and corporate reorganizations, to will and estate planning. For many years Connie taught the Business Law section of the Bar Admissions Course and was involved with preparing the licensing exams for Ontario lawyers. Throughout her career, Connie has been involved in her broader community, serving on many non-profit boards as well as providing pro bono legal services.

Estate Planning Specialist
Before joining RBC in 2010, Matt spent six and a half years working for a medium sized wealth management firm where he was both the Director of Insurance Services and a member of the firm’s Wealth and Estate Planning Group. While Matt was responsible for running the day-to-day operations and strategic growth for insurance entity, the majority of his time was focused on marketing and incorporating insurance based solutions into the practices of each advisor. Matt worked closely with both the advisors and their clients across Canada.
Matt has worked in the financial services industry since 1995. He has been a Marketing Director with a large wealth management firm assisting over 300 advisors in Ontario to create and implement insurance solutions for their clients. He worked closely with advisors and branches that had high net-worth clients and helped tailor insurance solutions for both personal and business needs. He has presented to both clients and advisors at various insurance symposiums and wealth management workshops. He was also focused on training and product development, writing many concept and product marketing pieces, as well as educating other divisions on the benefits of incorporating life insurance into wealth planning. Previously, Matt ran the day-to-day operations of a joint venture between a major Canadian insurer and bank and one of Canada’s largest MGAs. There he helped establish and manage a segregated fund division for independent insurance brokers as well as national account firms and captive agencies.
