Bev Evans- Investment Advisor

Bev has been advising clients about their financial needs for over 16 years. She enjoyed a successful career in banking, moving on from the Branch Manager role at a major Trust Company to specialize exclusively in wealth management in 1995. Since joining RBC Dominion Securities in 1999, Bev has gone on to manage portfolios for individual and corporate investors, specializing in working with the unique needs of affluent women and seniors.

Bev has been a frequent presenter and speaker at both firm and industry conferences.  She has been invited as a panelist at numerous symposiums on estate planning and wealth management, and has been interviewed as an expert on the significance of Gender Issues in Retirement Planning.  In 2006, she further refined her focus on guiding individuals through life transitions, completing her Elder Planning Counsellor (EPC) certification.  This enables her to understand and advise on the many financial, social and health consequences associated with retirement and aging.  

Bev understands the unique financial planning needs encountered by women going through life transitions.  These transitions are often the result of a major career change, a change in marital status or the loss of a spouse or family member.

Bev has shown leadership in Co-Chairing the Etobicoke Women's Network (EWN) for the past six years, and is committed to the Women's Market. Bev grew up in the Etobicoke area and is dedicated to giving back to her community. She is a supporter of numerous local organizations including Arts Etobicoke, the Etobicoke Horticultural Society and the Dorothy Ley Hospice.  She is active as a community leader and the Treasurer of the Markland Homes Association.  Bev and her husband, Bart, are happy to both live and work in Etobicoke.  As active outdoor enthusiasts, they enjoy golf, camping and gardening.

She believes in the "Portfolio Approach", which means her recommendations will always relate to her clients original overall goals. She does not engage in the frequent trading of isolated stocks and believes that the cornerstone of a successful portfolio is an appropriate asset allocation, and holdings that are properly diversified.
